"Orient Express IV" was built in a yard near Izmit, outside Istanbul, Turkey. Bülent Atabay is both the yacht and the yard owner, and this 46' IRC yacht was to replace his very successful last generation One Tonner of the same name.

Pictured below is the cold moulded hull ready for final fairing. It was painted white due to the extreme temperatures in Turkey causing problems for dark coloured hulls. In the foreground is the strongback for the deck - the frames are cut from fullsize plotted templates, and was set up in less than a day.

Below are pictures of the completed hull shell and deck awaiting final spray painting and deck gear. The interior is of lightweight foam and glass panels with wood trim. The Turkish are renowned for their craftsmanship, and this yacht is a great example!
